You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur client is seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee and ensure the quality assurance and quality control processes for our projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA/QC management within the EPC sector, with a strong background in various quality standards and certifications.
Quality Assurance (QA) Management:
Develop QA Policies and Procedures: Create and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
Define Quality Standards: Establish quality standards, specifications, and benchmarks based on industry regulations and customer requirements.
QA Audits: Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Training and Development: Lead the training of staff on quality management processes, quality standards, and techniques to ensure all team members understand and adhere to quality expectations.
Root Cause Analysis: Oversee the identification of root causes for quality issues, manage corrective actions, and ensure that preventive measures are implemented to avoid recurrence.
2. Quality Control (QC) Management:
Inspect and Test Products/Processes: Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, components, and final products to ensure they meet the specified quality standards.
QC Tools and Techniques: Use various QC techniques such as statistical process control (SPC), inspection, and testing methods to monitor production quality.
Non-Conformance Management: Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure that any deviations from quality standards are addressed promptly, including coordinating corrective actions and root cause analysis.
Data Analysis: Analyze quality control data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management to guide decisions and improvements.
3. Process Improvement and Optimization:
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for continuous quality improvement (CQI) by implementing quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
Process Efficiency: Work with production teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve process efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality outcomes, process performance, and operational efficiency.
Technology Implementation: Evaluate and introduce new technologies, automation, or software tools that can improve quality control processes and reporting.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
Compliance with Standards: Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FDA, GMP, NIST, API, ASME, etc.) related to product quality and safety.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough records of QA/QC activities, test results, inspection reports, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit documentation for regulatory audits and certifications.
Supplier and Vendor Audits: Conduct audits of suppliers and vendors to ensure that raw materials and components meet required quality standards before they are used in production.
5. Team Leadership and Coordination:
Leadership: Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, providing guidance on best practices, process improvements, and problem-solving techniques.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, engineering, R&D, procurement) to ensure quality is integrated into every phase of the product lifecycle.
Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts or challenges related to quality issues, ensuring that solutions are timely and effective.
Staff Development: Identify training needs for quality control and assurance personnel, and create opportunities for their professional development and certification.
6. Risk Management and Corrective Actions:
Identify Risks: Proactively identify risks related to product quality, safety, and compliance and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
Corrective Actions: Manage corrective actions for non-conformities and ensure that they are effectively implemented and monitored for long-term success.
Preventive Actions: Design and implement preventive actions to eliminate the root causes of quality issues, thereby reducing the likelihood of future occurrences.
7. Customer and Stakeholder Interaction:
Customer Satisfaction: Work to ensure that customer expectations for product quality are met or exceeded. Handle customer complaints related to quality and work toward resolutions.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates and reports on quality issues, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management, clients, or regulatory bodies.
Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that they meet quality requirements and adhere to agreed-upon standards.
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Should have following certifications ISO 9001:2015 Auditor, NDT Level 2 certification, CSWIP 3.1, ICORR Level II, FROSIO Level II.
Minimum of 15 years in a QA/QC management position within the EPC sector
Technical Knowledge:
o Extensive experience in quality assurance and quality control within the engineering and construction industry.
o In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant quality standards.
o Proven experience in managing and executing quality control processes, inspections, and audits.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to observe and identify even the smallest issues related to quality and ensure they are addressed.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex quality problems, determine their root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Leadership and People Management: Effective leadership skills to guide a team, manage conflicts, and ensure that staff are aligned with quality goals.
Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple quality improvement initiatives simultaneously.
Data Analysis and Statistical Tools: Proficiency in analyzing quality data and using statistical methods (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma, Minitab) to identify trends and improve processes.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of industry-specific quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including suppliers, customers, and senior management.
Full-time
