Job Description

Sales Director Renewable Energy Projects

Pay : $230000 p/a quarterly commission and annual company bonuses.

Contract type: Permanent/ Indefinite

Location: San Francisco CA

As a Sales Director you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our renewable energy business. You will be responsible for leading a highperforming sales team developing and executing strategic sales plans and building strong relationships with key clients and partners within the utility commercial and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of experienced B2B sales professionals.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Set and track sales targets and quotas.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Business Development:

  • Identify qualify and pursue new business opportunities within the utility commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers at utility companies independent power producers (IPPs) and corporate clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Lead contract negotiations with clients ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Proactively address client needs and concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and crossselling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business engineering or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in B2B sales and business development preferably in the renewable energy industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of the solar and energy storage markets within the utility commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
