The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas related to financial reporting and payable processing. This position is responsible for adopting developing and maintaining accounting principles practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial statements. He/ She manages the team to ensure that the work/ reports are properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REPORTS
- Review the Financial Statements Package
- Perform analysis of Cash Position Report Car Park Performance report Amusement sales report Amusement income report Operating Expense report and Various Financial Schedules
- Prepare budget
- Assists the Controller in the presentation of the financial reports and results of operations
- Review Audited FS and Income Tax Return
- Review and analyse monthly financial statements/ reports (FS) schedules and notes to FS per entity
- Ensure compliance with SEC requirements
EXPENDITURE
- Review and ensure complete check voucher package
- Ensure that all disbursements are charged to the proper account and cost centers.
- Ensure that all governmentrequired reports and payments are properly and promptly submitted and paid.
- Ensure that all expenditures are valid and properly authorized.
GENERAL ACCOUNTING
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of books.
- Review and approve journal entries before they are encoded in the system
- Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a regular basis
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Supervise efficient performance of all personnel within the department.
- Ensure confidentiality of information that is processed within the department.
- Develop and implement new procedures and processes to enhance the workflow of the general accounts
- Coordinate with the tax group for the closure of tax cases of assessments of the company.
- Ensure strict compliance to approved policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy
- Licensed CPA
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel Word and PPT)
- Preferably with working knowledge in IFCA/ PPlus applications
- With at least 3 years managerial experience
- With good attention to details
