Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Technician (PTM Experience)
Location: Ras Al Khair Saudi Arabia
Reports to: Mechanical Supervisor/Maintenance Manager
Department: Maintenance
Job Purpose:
To perform preventive corrective and servicing maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment and machinery in accordance with industry standards and regulations. The role requires strong expertise in Preventive Maintenance (PTM) to ensure machinery operates efficiently and downtime is minimized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Preventive Maintenance (PTM): Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance for electrical and instrumentation systems ensuring that all machinery and equipment function optimally.
- Perform installation configuration calibration and programming of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair: Identify and resolve issues in electrical systems and machinery ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance: Perform indepth diagnostics and repairs to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Provide onsite support and ensure machinery complies with industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure proper implementation of electrical solutions.
- Monitor performance: Continuously observe machinery for optimal operational performance and reduce planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Review and implement electrical designs to meet industry best practices and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ (Health Safety Environment and Quality) policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or vocational certification in Electrical Engineering Instrumentation or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician with a mandatory focus on Preventive Maintenance (PTM).
- Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in electrical systems and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Strong problemsolving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Proficient in MS Office (Arabic language proficiency is a plus).
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to industrial environments including high noise levels and high temperatures.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding conditions.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols.
