Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in building electrical systems to join our team. As an Electrical Project Engineer you will take part in designing developing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems for a variety of building types including commercial public sector residential and municipal projects. You will be responsible for all phases of electrical design from initial schematics to construction administration ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop complex electrical systems using advanced software including REVIT
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure project requirements are met and adhere to industry standards
Conduct detailed analyses of new and existing electrical systems identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
Lead and participate in design meetings with team members
Design emergency lighting egress systems and ensure lifesafety building requirements are met
Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical building codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Respond to permit comments and review shop drawing submittals
Perform site lighting photometrics basic circuiting and create panel schedules
Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of building electrical systems
Proven experience in designing power lighting and control systems for complex projects
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software
Strong knowledge of NEC codes and application in design
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABETaccredited institution
