Job Description
Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: McLean VA (Hybrid)
Note: No Corp to Corp (Only W2 and H1 Transfer)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Kubernetes and Docker as well as proficiency in Spinnaker. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and Shell scripting alongside handson experience with Jenkins and Groovy scripting. You will play a critical role in implementing CI/CD processes and methodologies ensuring our development pipeline is efficient and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deploy applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Utilize Spinnaker for continuous delivery and deployment.
- Develop and maintain scripts in Python and Shell to automate processes.
- Configure and manage Jenkins for CI/CD workflows including Groovy scripting.
- Conduct code quality checks and integrate SonarQube into development practices.
- Support and administer Atlassian tools (Jira Bitbucket Confluence) for project management and collaboration.
- Participate in oncall rotation to provide operational support as needed.
- Leverage AWS services such as CloudFormation S3 EC2 EKS and others to enhance cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with business and technology partners to develop userfriendly features using Agile methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Python and Shell scripting.
- 5 years in Enterprise or Platform Architecture within a financial services organization.
- 5 years of handson AWS experience with services including EC2 S3 EKS RDS ECR CloudFormation IAM KMS Lambda SNS and SQS.
- Proven ability to design and implement solutions for largescale enterprise systems.
