The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking a skilled Business Analyst 2 to support various ARPAfunded system enhancements for applications that assist in Long Term Care and other ancillary services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business analysis particularly in Texas Medicaid systems and will provide vendor oversight to ensure alignment with customer needs.
Position:Business Analyst 2
Responsibilities:- Review analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs to formulate systems that align with overall business strategies.
- Conduct business process reengineering and identify new applications of technology to enhance business effectiveness.
- Prepare solution options risk identification and financial analyses (cost/benefit ROI buy/build).
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Assist with delivery of ARPAfunded enhancements and provide vendor oversight.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Texas Medicaid systems.
- Preferred 8 years of experience working on Information Technology projects.
- Preferred 8 years of knowledge of software development processes and practices.
- Preferred 5 years of experience with Agile delivery approaches.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Business Analyst experience with Texas Medicaid systems knowledge of software development processes and Agile methodologies.
