Job Title: Senior Electrical Designer

Job Summary:
Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Designer to develop and design electrical systems specifically for HVAC and plumbing applications. This role requires proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit as well as a strong understanding of building automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills be capable of managing projects from start to finish and work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical design drawings and schematics for HVAC and plumbing systems in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate closely with HVAC and plumbing engineers to integrate and coordinate system designs.
- Perform load calculations equipment selection and sizing for electrical systems.
- Produce and maintain detailed design documentation and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure accurate timely installation of electrical systems onsite.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during construction and commissioning phases.
- Stay current on industry advancements and design best practices for HVAC and plumbing systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in electrical design focused on HVAC and plumbing systems within MEP consulting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Strong understanding of NEC NFPA and other relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Familiarity with building automation protocols (e.g. BACnet Modbus) and systems.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
- Certification in energy management or sustainability.
