Job Description
Job Title: Steel Estimator/Sales
Location: Ocala FL
Employment Type: Permanent FullTime
Pay: As per Exp.
Client is seeking an experienced Steel Estimator with expertise in metal technical specifications contract details and structural steel projects. This role involves sales estimating and negotiation of infrastructure projects across the Southeast U.S. The ideal candidate is detailoriented has strong analytical skills and can effectively consult with general contractors and clients on a variety of metal projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales and Estimating: Identify and pursue sales opportunities generate leads and build relationships with general contractors and customers in the infrastructure municipal and industrial sectors.
- Project Analysis: Review construction drawings technical specifications and contract language for accurate bidding.
- Quotation Preparation: Create detailed material takeoffs and pricing for projects that include small structural steel elements and miscellaneous metals such as stairs railings ladders grating and access platforms.
- Negotiation: Work with clients and project stakeholders to negotiate bids and project terms.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications.
- Analytical Ability: Strong mathematical analytical and problemsolving skills to ensure accurate project costing and takeoffs.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reviewing project requirements and preparing quotes.
