Client is establishing a dedicated investment stewardship team to serve its active business. As part of this new function within Clients Portfolio Management Group (PMG) the Vice President in Active Investment Stewardship will focus on voting and engagement for our active investment strategies. This role involves close collaboration with Clients global portfolio managers and analysts to support our fiduciary duty in seeking the best riskadjusted returns for our clients.

Located in New York and London this highperforming team leverages Clients expertise in asset stewardship to engage with public companies focusing on governance financial strategy operational performance and sustainabilityrelated risks. Our collaborative engagement with company leadership aims to build relationships based on open dialogue and mutual respect supporting businesses in achieving longterm success.
Key Responsibilities- Corporate Engagement: Lead engagement with assigned portfolio companies preparing for and documenting meetings in coordination with active investors focusing on issues like governance sustainability practices and financial strategy.
- Voting & Policy Application: Execute proxy voting responsibilities analyze shareholder meeting agendas and ensure voting aligns with Clients corporate governance policies.
- Policy & Process Development: Support data gathering benchmarking and reporting to refine voting practices enhance policy relevance and foster continuous improvement within BAIS.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers analysts and other Client teams to integrate stewardship insights contribute to position papers and identify areas for process enhancement.
- Education: Undergraduate degree in finance economics accounting political science sustainability or a related field.
- Experience: 46 years of experience in financial services with a demonstrated understanding of corporate finance and financial statement analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present complex information to senior audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Expertise in corporate governance sustainability practices and analysis of company performance.
- Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative working style and proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel PowerPoint and other Microsoft products.
