POSITION SUMMARY:
The client is rolling out a global instance of SAP to marketing and communication agencies. The SAP instance is branded Vantage which is comprised of tools supporting Budgeting and Forecasting Resource and Project Planning Financial and Operations Management. The Vantage program requires an SAP Ariba consultant with strong Buying & Invoicing and Guided Buying configuration business analyst skills and procurement experience. They will also be required to support our Ariba B&I and Guided Buying solutions with integration to SAP ECC.
The candidate would preferably have professional service industry experience ideally in advertising media and digital services. Implementation experience of SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing and Guided Buying is also required. The successful candidate will work on all aspects of the development cycle for procurement and invoice reconciliation. This position requires a versatile person that can be both technical and process oriented able to work with the technical team as well as explaining technical solutions to a nontechnical audience. The role requires someone who is focused on the business needs and think beyond standard out of the box functionality when necessary and has the drive and initiative to find alternative solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Vantage Buying & Invoicing Analyst is responsible for participating on the implementation and deployment of Ariba B&I and Guided Buying solutions for Vantage program.
This role includes responsibility for the following:
Defining the business requirements by:
Consulting with key business stakeholders: liaising with the Vantage deployment team Client agencies Client Global Shared Services as well as external financial advisors and our consultancy partners
Determining highest priority requirements for the group and managing expectations related to any changes to those priorities/requirements
Documenting the business requirements including detailed process flows where applicable
Collaborating with our Development Team and Ariba Shared Services to determine the best solution design
Creating or reviewing functional specifications for Ariba SS and our internal development team
Participating in the review and prioritisation of business enhancement requests for potential inclusion in subsequent product releases
Configuration in CIG and B&I platforms for both new procurement solutions and the deployment of existing functionality. They also require SAP Business Network configuration and API setup experience
Testing enhancements either through scheduled integration testing or on an adhoc basis for breakfix items
Validating that the solution meets the global and local legal/business requirements
Participating in the deployment of the SAP enhancements and breakfix items to the Vantage user base.
EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
Strong business process knowledge and expertise
Multiple Ariba B&I implementations experience
Handson configuration experience of SAP Cloud Integration Gateway and technical integration with SAP ECC
Several years Ariba B&I Administration experience
Several years of Ariba B&I workflow setup and support experience
API implementation experience
Knowledge and support experience for Ariba supplier enablement and Catalog Management to support our business users with catalog management activities
Ability to analyze complex business scenarios and present a concise recommendation for resolution
Ability to translate the business requirement to technical requirements vice versa and effectively communicate to a broad audience
Someone with initiative who holds themselves to high standards and is able to work with minimal direct supervision
Ability to manage developments in an organization where individuals that you are relying on do not report directly to you
Strong communication skills: in writing as well as in presenting to senior leadership and client Agencies.
Desirable:
Ability to influence decisions and be a strong collaborator
Ariba Vertex API integration tool experience
Handson configuration experience of SAP Purchasing LIV Material Master and FI AP
Good understanding of SAP ABAP: the candidate will be comfortable with ABAP concepts and principles. Ideally they would have some debugging knowledge.
Strong accounting experience
Good knowledge of business process analysis: BPMN expertise or root cause analysis is a positive
Experience with handling to SAP
Participated in at least one full life cycle of Global SAP implementation
Worked as a super user or a Global Process Owner in a large international corporation.
