Job Description

This position will be for a nights weekend schedule CT / XRay Tech Weekends Schedule position 7p7a Fri Sat Sun Position Highlights: Technologist will operate as a multi modality tech (CT and XR) . Required to perform CT Xray Fluoro Carm May be required to rotate weekends and take call ARRT Certified in CT IV skills preferred Siemens Go Top CT Scanner Konica Xray Equipment EPIC McKesson PACS Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques. Administers xradiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. May be required to alternate shifts weekends holidays and take call. May be asked to flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned sites(s). Works as part of a multidisciplinary team serving on committees and participating in projects as requested. Depending on site assigned may also be required to perform radiographer job duties. Performs diagnostic CT procedures. If assigned radiographer job duties also performs radiographic fluoroscopic surgical and portable radiographic exams. Corroborates patients clinical history with procedure ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist. Prepares the patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results gain cooperation and minimize anxiety. Selects and operates imaging equipment image capture devices and accessories to successfully perform procedures. Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary. Practices aseptic technique as necessary Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access. Initiates basic life support action when necessary. Provides patient education. Provides input for supply and equipment decisions maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area. Provides practical instruction for students and partners. Observes universal protocol standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers. Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures including assisting and transporting patients. Education & Experience: Graduate of an accredited radiography program Radiographer experience requiredCT experience required Certification / Licensure: ARRT Radiography registration required ARRT Computed Tomography registration requiredWIDSPS radiographer license requiredApproved CPR or BLS certification required
