Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers as they enter the showroom
  • Identify customers' needs and recommend appropriate products or services
  • Provide product demonstrations and answer any questions customers may have
  • Process sales transactions and handle cash or credit card payments
  • Maintain a clean and organized showroom environment
  • Monitor and replenish inventory as needed
  • Stay informed on product features and benefits to effectively communicate with customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure repeat business
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals
  • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and market trends

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the products or services being offered
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer Interaction

    • Greet and assist customers as they enter the showroom, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience.
    • Engage customers in conversation to identify their needs and preferences, providing personalized product recommendations.
  • Product Demonstration

    • Demonstrate product features and benefits effectively, highlighting how they meet customer needs and enhance their lifestyles.
    • Answer questions and provide detailed information about product specifications, pricing, and availability.
  • Sales Transactions

    • Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, including managing cash, credit, and financing options.
    • Maintain precise records of sales and customer interactions for follow-up and inventory management.
  • Inventory Management

    • Assist in maintaining showroom inventory, ensuring products are well-displayed, clean, and stocked adequately.
    • Participate in inventory counts and assist with restocking and organizing products as needed.
  • Sales Targets

    • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets through effective product promotion and closing sales.
    • Actively participate in sales training and team meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.

Desired candidate profile

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in sectors such as furniture, automotive, appliances, electronics, or fashion is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of the products being sold, including features, benefits, and applications to provide informed recommendations.
  • Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions, managing inventory, and handling customer data.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Verbal Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to engage with customers and effectively convey product information.
  • Active Listening: Strong listening skills to understand customer needs and tailor sales approaches accordingly.

Sales Skills

  • Customer Engagement: Ability to build rapport with customers, understand their preferences, and guide them in making purchasing decisions.
  • Goal-Oriented: A strong drive to meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
