Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: Proven experience as a Piping and Layout Engineer in the oil and gas industry or related sectors. Experience with project execution and construction activities is advantageous.
Project Experience: Proven track record of developing layouts for complex projects, including facility design and industrial installations.
Technical Skills
Layout Design: Expertise in creating detailed layouts and plans for facilities, including equipment placement, workflows, and safety considerations.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and 3D modeling tools for layout development.
Space Optimization: Strong skills in space planning and optimization to enhance operational efficiency.
Knowledge of Standards
Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations relevant to layout and design.
Best Practices: Understanding of best practices in layout design, including ergonomics, safety, and process flow.
Project Management Skills
Planning and Coordination: Experience in project planning, scheduling, and coordinating layout-related activities with other engineering disciplines.
Budget Management: Ability to assist in developing and managing project budgets related to layout design.
Communication and Collaboration
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure design feasibility.
Documentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical documentation and presentations.
