Roles and responsibilities
Are you an experienced Buyer from Oil & Gas industry with a proven track record of negotiating and placing high complex orders for materials and subcontracts for offshore works in accordance with technical, quality, HSE, commercial and legal requirements?
Job Responsibilities
- Issue to vendors the Request for Quotation based on given purchasing request
- Support the vendors during the preparation of the technical/commercial proposals with obligation of confidentiality about the related bid info
- Prepare the commercial/economic bid tabulation to compare different proposals and suggest actions to be taken in order to improve bid result and/or select the vendor
- Lead the commercial/economic negotiation
- Prepare the purchase or der/subcontract based on standard General Purchase Terms and Conditions and Project Special Purchase Conditions, if any, and managing possible deviations
- Close out the bid process receiving purchase/subcontract confirmation by selected vendor and informing the unsuccessful vendors about negative result of their bid
- Follow up and negotiate, if necessary, purchase order/subcontract revisions
- Perform the assigned activities in compliance with procedures and provided systems and tools
- Check and comment the technical documentation received with the Purchase Requisition and Technical Evaluation
- Manage contractual documentation (Archive) before the issue to centralized archive
Job Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of main manufactures and suppliers/vendors in the O&G industry
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Proven track record on bid preparation, critical negotiations and price consistency checks
- Experience in Experience ARIBA or SAP
- Expert knowledge on manufacturers, vendors, suppliers of commodities like valves, piping, structural steel for offshore construction
Desired candidate profile
- Project Experience: Proven track record of working on large-scale projects involving control systems and instrumentation.
Technical Skills
- Instrumentation Design: Proficiency in designing and specifying instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
- Control Systems: Strong knowledge of control systems and protocols (e.g., DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI).
- Calibration and Testing: Experience in calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with software tools for designing and simulating control systems (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar).
Standards and Regulations
- Knowledge of Codes: Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISA, API) related to instrumentation and control.
- Safety Protocols: Knowledge of safety systems and practices, including SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessments.
Project Management Skills
- Planning and Coordination: Experience in project planning, scheduling, and coordination of instrumentation activities.
- Budget Management: Ability to develop and manage budgets for instrumentation projects.
Communication and Collaboration
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
- Technical Documentation: Proficient in preparing technical documentation, reports, and instrumentation specifications.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for industrial applications.
