Job Description

IT Incident Project Manager

Project Overview:

This is a unique and pivotal role aimed at improving operational continuity across teams.

The Senior Technical Project Manager will work closely with both technical and nontechnical individuals ensuring smooth project management and coordination during incidents and issues.

The role requires strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders ranging from executives to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform root cause analysis using methods like Fishbone analysis to identify and address operational issues.

Collaborate with teams (67 members including 2 superiors) to document findings and develop action plans for improvement.

Coordinate tasks and ensure the resolution of incidents working with both business and technical stakeholders.

Utilize AWS (EC2 Lambda DynamoDB Transit Gateway and other functions) to understand system operations though deep expertise in AWS is not required just technical knowledge will work.

Communicate effectively across executive and nonexecutive teams asking critical questions and facilitating meetings.

Manage shortterm issues as a coordinator ensuring tasks are completed and findings are documented.

Use MS Outlook for scheduling and managing meetings.

Align with ITIL standards; familiarity with ITIL and COBIT is helpful though certification is not required.

Document incidents and retrospective findings identifying root causes and suggesting improvements particularly in deployment failures to present to senior leadership.

Key Pointers as per HM :

Experience as a Technical Project Manager with knowledge of AWS technologies.

Ability to work across both technical and business teams to facilitate solutions and improvements.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with executives and nonexecutives.

Familiarity with ITIL though practitioner certification is not required.

Experience using MS Outlook for scheduling and meeting management.

Additional Information:

The role is contracttohire (CTH) with the possibility of conversion after 2 years.

75% of the team operates remotely with occasional inoffice meetings (once per quarter).

The team comprises incident and problem managers but the role requires a generalist approach to addressing issues at a broader level.
