Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Notice active and passive administrative events through legal/fiscal registration

Job Tasks

Assure proper accountancy handling
Achieve control and management of contractual clauses
Guarantee the notice of takings and achieve payments
Guarantee the reconciliation of open issues
Assure the proper intercompany reconciliation
Assure the calculation and entry of provision for bad debts and write off irrecoverable debts
Financial Management
Project Accounting: Oversee all aspects of project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for multiple projects.
Cost Tracking: Monitor and analyze project costs, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses against budgets.
Reporting
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for projects, highlighting key metrics and variances.
Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare budgeted vs. actual costs and identify reasons for discrepancies.
Compliance and Controls
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies related to project accounting.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Coordination and Collaboration
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support on project accounting practices.
Audit Support
Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Financial Reviews: Participate in financial reviews and discussions with auditors to ensure transparency and compliance.
Process Improvement
Process Development: Identify and implement process improvements in project accounting and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Technology Utilization: Leverage accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and reporting.


Desired candidate profile

  • Project Involvement: Experience managing the financial aspects of multiple projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Technical Skills

  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Financial Reporting: Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and project accounting practices.

Analytical Skills

  • Budget Management: Ability to develop, manage, and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
  • Cost Analysis: Strong analytical skills to perform cost analysis and variance reporting.

Communication Skills

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project managers, finance teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Reporting Skills: Ability to prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
