Job Description

Position Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CNC Machine Engineer to join their production team. This role involves setting up and operating NC and CNC machines in the Casting Cells to perform a range of operations on explosionproof parts ensuring precise tolerances and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines and conventional machines in Casting Cells for various machining tasks including turning drilling tapping boring and threading.
Inspection & Quality Control: Check the first piece with gauges periodically inspect all parts for quality and correct discrepancies to maintain high standards.
Material Handling: Load unload and adjust parts and tools as needed; operate a forklift to facilitate material movement within the department.
Documentation: Refer to assembly drawings wiring diagrams and blueprints to ensure tolerance maintenance set controls perform manual data input and review operation data sheets.
Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean organized work area machines and control units following 5S principles.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in CNC machine setup and operation.
- Fork truck experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years in CNC machine setup and operation.
Geographical Requirement: Must live within a 50mile radius of Syracuse NY (Activeduty military candidates are exempt from this requirement).
Certification: CNC Set certification preferred.
