Role Overview:
We are seeking a Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer to support our customers in delivering robust cloud solutions. In this customerfacing role you will implement DevOps processes and tooling for the delivery of IaaS and PaaS services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in the public cloud. You will enhance our customers ability to rapidly build and deploy to cloud services and release software.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement DevOps processes and tooling for IaaS and PaaS delivery in Azure.
Automate the configuration and management of Azure cloud workloads.
Build and configure cloud services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
Develop toolchains to support automated builds tests and deployments.
Collaborate with team members on technical decisions and best practices.
Qualifications:
510 years of experience in Information Technology with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Selfdriven with intrinsic motivation to excel and take ownership of tasks and projects.
Strong demonstrable experience with Azure DevOps (or equivalent CI/CD tooling) scripting languages and configuration management tools such as Ansible Chef and PowerShell DSC.
Experience in building and configuring cloud services using IaC with Terraform.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure.
One or more of the following Azure certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
Experience in implementing modern CI/CD processes for software releases.
Advocate for DevOps methodologies and processes.
Broad experience building and configuring Azure IaaS and PaaS services (e.g. App Service VNETs NSGs SQL databases Service Bus Function Apps Key Vault Logic Apps).
Experience with Git.
Preferred Criteria:
Terraform Associate Certification.
Required Qualifications: Experience: 7+ years of total IT experience with a strong focus on DevOps and cloud infrastructure. 5+ years of experience working specifically with AWS, including hands-on management of services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others. CI/CD Expertise: Extensive experience designing and developing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools. Linux & Scripting: Proficiency in managing Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS) and scripting with Bash for task automation. HashiCorp Tools: Proven experience working with HashiCorp products such as Packer, Terraform, and Vault to automate and manage infrastructure. DevOps Tools: Strong experience with a range of DevOps tools such as Ansible, Chef, GitLab, and AWS CI/CD services. Preferred Qualifications: Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one software development language such as Python, NodeJS, Java, or .Net, which will allow you to contribute to the development team when needed. Certifications: AWS certifications (such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, etc.) are highly desirable. HashiCorp certifications will be a plus, showcasing your expertise with their tools. Security Experience: Prior experience working with security practices and ensuring infrastructure is secure from potential threats.
