This is a critical position responsible for 25% of the business of the region, and managing the #1 and most strategic customer globally.
Key Responsibilities Include
Experience in key account management is crucial. This role requires not only the ability to maintain and strengthen client relationships but also to understand and anticipate their evolving needs. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successfully managing significant accounts, showcasing their capacity to drive business growth while fostering long-term partnerships.
Specific experience in the packaging industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with industry trends, competitive landscapes, and client expectations will provide a significant advantage. This knowledge allows for more effective communication with clients and the ability to offer tailored solutions that meet their unique requirements.
Sales acumen and negotiation skills are vital for this role. The candidate should possess the ability to effectively advocate for our products and services, negotiate terms that benefit both the company and the customer, and close deals that contribute to the company’s bottom line. This includes having the capability to engage in day-to-day negotiations, ensuring that all interactions are productive and aligned with our strategic goals.
Another important aspect is account planning and complexity management. The ideal candidate should be adept at creating strategic plans that outline how to approach various accounts, addressing potential challenges and leveraging opportunities. This involves critical thinking and analytical skills to dissect complex situations, enabling the formulation of effective strategies.
