Job Description
Summary: Penrose Main Hospital and St. Francis hospital are looking for a locum Gastroenterology Hospitalists to help provide locum call coverage at the facilities concurrently. The site has a designated backup physician should another call come in at the other facility while working a call at the other facility.
BID DUE DATE: Oct 30th at 5p EST!
Rate Caps for Submission:
Malpractice Must be included in rates.
Orientation xx238 xx275 half the hourly/callback rate kicks in after 8 hours. Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours
Holiday Must be 1.5x the regular rate. Per holiday hour no OT
On Call (Daily) xx3651 to xx4000 Per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis
24 Hour Holiday Call Rate xx5476.5 xx6000 Per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis
Call Back $476 to xx550 Per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.
Holiday Call Back xx714 xx825 Per holiday hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.

Details:
- Shifts are 24 hour call Friday (7a) Friday (7a) every other week

- Setting: Inpatient Trauma Level II

- Required Procedures/Job Duties: ERCP & General GI butter cases
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: None
- Reason for Coverage: No GI Service
- Dealbreakers (Do Not Present): Must be able to perform ERCP
Travel Preferences (see attachment for specific travel guidelines):
Preferred Lodging: none. In the event that the CommonSpirit Health preferred hotel is not available hotel/lodging rates will be reimbursed based on actual expense up to 1.5 times the current GSA rate for the market.
Air Travel: xx750/round trip cap
Rental Cars: xx65/day all in cap (including taxes and fees) regardless of car class.
Mileage: IRS Standard Rate
Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Please also indicate the city where provider will be traveling from in the travel section of the provider submission.

- What is the patient census/caseload Average daily census of 1525 patients. Some days will be under 10 some days > 30.
- Is there an anesthesiologist on staff Or can the provide the conscious sedation There is anesthesia support no need for conscious sedation.
- Who admits patients the GI or a hospitalist Hospitalists admits patients.
- What is the inpatient/outpatient census Average ER calls/consults in 24 hours is 1012. Average consults from admitted patients in 24 hours (Surgeons or hospitalists): 45 per day Average transfersin over 7 days from CommonSpirit Connect: 1015.
- Average daily procedures on inpatients: 58
- How many ERCP s are done per month at the site 12 ERCPs per day (of the 58 procedures above.
- Do they have coverage needs beyond April Coverage beyond April is TBD based on how well the team feels it works with the locum support.
Requirement description : **MUST NOTATE ALL DURING NAME CLEARS**
- Board Certified Gastroenterology Required or Truly BE (05 years of fellowship completion with BC in Internal Medicine)
- Active CO License Required
- Active CO DEA Required for credentialing
- Candidate must be available for any of the dates detailed in the job description Required
- Candidate must be able to perform ERCP Required to note
- Candidate must acknowledge they understand the call is handled at Penrose and St. Francis concurrently. Required to note.
- Clean Malpractice/background Highly Preferred
