The Infrastructure & Database Manager will oversee and manage the Infrastructure & Database team ensuring alignment with business needs driving cloud and database architecture decisions and maintaining high standards in performance monitoring and optimization. You will act as both a technical leader and strategic planner making key decisions that enhance infrastructure stability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Monitoring: Oversee the Infrastructure & Database teams work ensuring effective operations and alignment with company objectives.
- Business Alignment: Understand core business requirements for infrastructure and database needs setting and achieving longterm targets.
- Talent Development: Support individual growth and skill development within the team to improve current and future role effectiveness.
- Decision Making: Lead the team in accountable strategic decisionmaking processes.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct performance analysis both financial and nonfinancial to optimize team effectiveness.
- Cloud Infrastructure Solutions: Provide recommendations and solutions for client cloud infrastructure needs focusing on best practices.
- Project Implementation & Monitoring: Oversee infrastructure projects ensuring successful implementation and continuous monitoring to meet project objectives.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in IT or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years as a DevOps Engineer Cloud Solution Architect Infrastructure Consultant or Database Consultant.
- Leadership: At least 5 years of experience leading a team as a Project Manager or Department Head with 3 years managing budgets and budget monitoring.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with cloud technologies (AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform) Linux networking and security.
- Experience in designing and implementing cloud and noncloud architectures.
- Skilled in application infrastructure design and implementation.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Kubernetes Docker and container orchestration.
- Database Management: Proficiency in SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
- CI/CD Tools: Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Strong logical abilities for solving complex infrastructure challenges.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for engaging with both technical and nontechnical teams.
- Presentation & Training: Experience delivering presentations and conducting workshops.
