We are hiring a Staff Nurse PACU in a Private Hospital in Limerick Ireland.
We are hiring a Staff Nurse PACU in a Private Hospital in Limerick Ireland.
Fulltime permanent position
37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure a high standard of care is always maintained.
- To work in a fastpaced acute environment.
- Demonstrate effective assessment of the patient s condition on admission to the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit.
- To have the ability to continuously assess and monitor the patient and identify any signs of deterioration.
- Ensure all checking processes are carried out correctly and thoroughly and documentation relating to patients is accurately maintained in accordance with hospital policies.
- To communicate effectively with patients and families.
Requirements
- Registration in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI.
- 12 months recent acute hospital experience is essential.
- Previous experience in a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit / Critical Care Unit would be advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrable commitment to Quality and Patient Safety.
- Have experience of working in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Strong clinical and communication skills are required.
