Position: Housing Data Entry Specialist
Type of Position: Contract
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Work Schedule: MonFri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm *Weekends if necessary*
Smarter HR Solutions is looking to hire individuals who are detailoriented selfstarters and goal driven for our Housing Data Reporting Specialist position. This Housing Data Specialist position will utilize the appropriate applications to review and analyze housing assistance project data collecting and organizing incoming client case data and establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers administrators staff from partner agencies applicants and the general public.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect organize and prepare data information regarding housing assistance program trends.
- Report data analytical findings and key housing project metrics to Management team.
- Effectively communicate strategic data driven recommendations.
- Analyze existing data collection and develop solutions to optimize housing project performance data.
- Organize collected project data into Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet.
- Manage and maintain any documents regarding data collected on Disaster Recovery Programs.
- Perform calculations to determine income (24 CFR Part 5.609 Annual Income) duplication of benefits and award amounts based on department housing assistance grants.
- When appropriate track referrals made on the client s behalf to case management services or the Housing and Community Resource Center.
- Collecting and organizing client case data.
- Manage assigned files to including processing and adding applicable notes for all contact activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Post High School education from an accredited technical institute or college/university.
Experience:
- Experience and understanding of HUD and additional housing assistance program regulations required.
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data/stats to identify various trends as it pertains to housing assistance programs required.
- Two (2) years of data management data collection statistical data management or related experience required.
- Proficient with income calculation based on HUDs 24 CFR Part 5.609 annual income.
License:
- Must have a valid driver s license reliable transportation and liability insurance.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Windows Excel Access PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Excel Spreadsheets.
- The ability to learn applicable software programs is required.
- Must have experience and possess excellent customer service skills. Must have good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to organize collect interpret and process information on an application and analyze information and evaluate results.
- Possess the skills to draft correspondence and chronologically document files.
- Possess the skills to maintain quality control over work assignments.
- Ability to read and interpret regulations about the administered programs and guidelines.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual is a PLUS.
Work Environment:
- The work is primarily sedentary with occasionally required travel to training events or meetings.
- The job is performed in a professional office environment.
Physical Demands:
- This is primarily a sedentary role; however working with files is required.
- This would require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds and bend and stand as necessary.
