Position Summary:
Our esteemed client is a leading mechanical Construction firm based in Qatar specializing in Oil and Gas Petrochemicals and Utilities Industries solutions for the Oil & Gas Sectors. The Workshop manager will manage all aspects of the Fabrication Workshop and its team ensuring that fabricated items are manufactured to the highest quality and delivered to customers as per the schedule/deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage production according to demand ensuring all schedules support project requirements
- Be responsible for ontime shipping stock control in the warehouse and installing teams requirements
- Assist the PM and GM in general areas of the present workload in order to ensure the smooth running of the business
- Work with the Engineering team daily to continually improve quality safety cost and production as well as obtain feedback/updates on individual project statuses
- Highlevel decisionmaking responsibility such as failure to make accurate decisions may result in late production and delays in project schedules.
- Excellent fabrication & welding skills required
- Working knowledge of MS Office and CAD software products. Experience working with & reading 2D plans
Requirements
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas
- Having handson experience and knowledge about all activities in a fabrication shop (Piping welding Painting etc.)
- Having experience in Oil & Gas companies in GCC
