Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Ecommerce Developer to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the technical aspects of our online store ensuring seamless customer experience and robust functionality. This position can be fulltime or freelance depending on the candidates availability and preferences.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Platform Maintenance and Development:
Maintain and update our Shopify store resolving technical issues bugs and optimizing performance.
Implement new features and functionalities as needed including integrations with payment gateways shipping providers and other essential tools.
Ensure seamless integration between the ecommerce platform and our website.
Regularly monitor site performance and make improvements to optimize speed and user experience.
Technical Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve technical issues impacting the online stores functionality and performance.
Troubleshoot problems related to product listings checkout process orders and customer accounts.
Customization and Integration:
Customize and configure our Shopify stores theme and features.
Integrate our store with existing marketing and automation tools.
Provide technical support to the marketing team to ensure optimal integration of digital assets into the platform.
Code Quality and Security:
Maintain clean welldocumented and secure code adhering to best practices.
Regularly update the platforms plugins and themes to keep the system secure.
Scalability:
Ensure our platform can handle increasing volumes of traffic and orders as our business grows.
Proactively plan for future scalability needs of the Frank & Myra store.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience building and maintaining ecommerce stores ideally on the Shopify platform.
- Strong understanding of frontend and backend development principles.
- Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and relevant Shopifyspecific code.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL).
- Excellent problemsolving analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaborative platforms is a plus.
