Job Description
The EHS Manager plays a critical role in ensuring safety environmental compliance and risk management and supports the Swiss Teams (3 locations incl. HQ)
We are seeking a talented candidate for the EHS Manager (m/f/d) position in Schaffhausen
Tasks
- Provide technical advice and support to the country MD line management and employees
- Implement the EHS Strategy and EHS targets based on Regional and Corporate demands
- Operate as an EHS role model and lead by example via Visible Felt Leadership
- Plan and execute Gemba Walks and ACS 365 safety dialogues for all locations in order to identify areas for improvement take action and develop the safety mindset
- Deliver risk and safety awareness training for field based managers team leads and technicians
- Ensure the effective implementation of EHS programs and safety campaigns
- Develop establish and strengthen the Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Workflow of incidents reported in EHS IT Reporting Tool to include report creation investigation correct actions lessons learned closure and distribution as required
- Plan manage execute and the Country Annual Inspection Program and ensure that all actions are closed in a timely manner
- Support ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 internal and external audits to include followup and closure of EHS related nonconformities observations and areas for improvement
Requirements
- Completed studies or vocational training in the field of EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) or technology
- Practical experience in field service activities with a focus on customer orientation (e.g. in a technical field such as mechanical engineering electrical engineering/electronics)
- Knowledge of EHS IT reporting tools
- IT literate to include Microsoft business applications
- driving license
- Medically fit in order to carry out site inspections visits and Gemba Walks
- Handson mentality problem solving skills and eagerness to explore further
- flexible and Open to travel between 3 Locations for up to 50%
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
