About Us
Since starting in Perth in 2012 CMW Geosciences has expanded to 19 business units with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hardworking downtoearth and passionate Geotech professionals providing quality geotechnical site investigation analysis and design advice to the construction infrastructure mining and energy sectors.
Our Perthbased tailings team is looking to bring on two graduatelevel geotechnical engineers with an interest in the geotechnical design of tailings storage facilities.
We have one position open for November 2024 and another starting in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the technical team to develop provide and promote design solutions options and initiatives to meet client needs
- Undertake field work including site investigations construction phase support and site inspections.
- Work with the senior technical team to contribute to detailed designs for projects ranging from building foundations to temporary works infrastructure and tailings storage facilities.
- Undertake technical and nontechnical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of our work
Qualifications/Experience/Attributes
- Qualified Geotechnical/Civil Engineer
- Good analytical skills and prior knowledge of geotechnical design software will be viewed favourably (Plaxis Rocscience Slide RSPile Settle3 LimitState Geo etc.)
- Experience working on tailings storage facilities is preferred but not necessary.
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills both verbal and written
- A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
- Current Aus drivers license
- Combination of officebased and fieldbased work ability to travel
