As Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) you will plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the databases that support Epic systems which are widely used in healthcare for electronic medical records (EMR) and other applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Overall 10 of IT experience; at least 5 years in Healthcare IT.
- At least 4 years of EPIC Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) experience delivering projects or program enhancements within a healthcare organization or healthcare consulting or managed services practice.
- EPIC ODBA certification is mandatory.
- Experience with at least two or more Epic implementations or upgrades.
- Proficiency with Linux AIX or UNIX operating systems
- Comfortable with working remotely and/or traveling to client sites.
- Able to work successfully with moderate supervision and latitude for independent judgement.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Participating in crossfunctional efforts to resolve technical issues chronic problems and technology integration challenges through the enterprise.
- Responsible for the installation administration config maintenance and monitoring of the Epic environments.
- Additionally responsible for database management including design implementation maintenance monitoring etc.
- Documentation and change management procedures including testing ensure the systems integrity during enhancements/upgrades.
- Capable to understand and extract data from EPIC clarity tables.
- Able to understand EPIC clarity tables/attributes and associated data dictionaries EPIC community specs and guide to define the functional specifications.
