Design Management Manager

• Define and set design requirements and technical standards for each project phase.
  
• Prepare design requirements for various design packages covering stages from concept design (Architecture Interior Landscape) basic design to detailed technical design.
  
• Define and outline scope of work for each design package.
  
• Establish design criteria and standards.
  

Planning and Management of Design Workflow

• Create a comprehensive plan for design management assigning tasks according to team members specialties and coordinating with Project management team.
  
• Evaluate design proposal documents and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  
• Conduct onsite checks and assessments.
  
• Consolidate and review team members work outputs.
  
• Review and audit all issued documents including design briefs legal documentation feasibility studies and tender/contractual materials to ensure consistency with project scope and requirements.
  

• Oversee project designs covering planning infrastructure structural MEP (mechanical electrical plumbing) fire safety interior and landscape. Ensure each stage s documents align with previous steps.
  
• Review and critique core and technical design documentation.
  
• Control design modifications and phase timelines offering professional input and recommendations.
  
• Supervise 3D visualizations and other design representations.
  
• Manage the design process in alignment with overall project progress ensuring contractor adherence to quality and timelines.
  
• Liaise with senior management and stakeholders on design documentation incorporating feedback into consulting design efforts.
  
• Coordinate with local government for project design approvals.
  

Management and Approval of Finishing Materials and Interior Elements

• Update and assess new material and interior finish samples.
  
• Submit material and finishing specifications for approval in line with approved concept design.
  
• Oversee contractor compliance with approved specifications.
  

• Work with the Project Management team to source evaluate and select subcontractors/design consultants per established procedures.
  
• Manage subcontractor/design consultants to ensure design documents meet deadlines project goals approved timelines and cost efficiency.
  
• Attend design meetings with consultants and subcontractors directly coordinating design adjustments as needed.
  
• Obtain executive approval for any additional design work to facilitate payment settlements.
  
• Oversee documentation for regulatory approvals such as planning agreements fire safety approvals and building permits.
  

• Draft and implement regulations procedures and guidelines for effective technical design management.
  

Requirements

• Age: 35 45
  
• Gender: Male
  
• Bachelor s degree or higher in Architecture Construction or related field.
  
• Architect license (Grade I) or Structural Design license (Grade I) preferred.
  
• At least 5 years experience as Design Director/Design Manager or similar role preferably on Class A office or 5star hotel projects.
  
• Proficiency in English particularly in technical terminology and conversational skills.
  
• Prior experience with international design teams or investors is an advantage.
  

Skills and Knowledge:

• Thorough understanding of design management processes standards and construction regulations.
  
• Familiarity with construction technologies to validate design documentation and consultant proposals.
  
• Strong project management and design consultant coordination skills.
  
• Knowledge of new and finishing materials.
  
• Proficient in design software (CAD) graphic software and office applications.
  
• Technical skills in surveying design processes and informationgathering for compliance with standards.
  
• Adaptability resilience under pressure discipline and initiative.
