Job Description

Hostly is a young fastgrowing Airbnb management company based in the UK and Zanzibar Tanzania.

We have a brilliant & friendly team based in the Philippines South Africa Zanzibar & The UK. Together we manage a mixture of 60 apartments houses villas and a small luxury hotel across both locations.

We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive Property Quality Manager to uphold the high standards of our hotel and Airbnb properties. You will play a key role in ensuring each property is wellmaintained visually appealing and guestready at all times. This role involves identifying issues overseeing maintenance schedules and ensuring all repairs and fixes are completed to a high standard. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to quality will enhance our guests experience and help maintain our reputation as a premium shortlet provider.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

Property Inspections

Conduct regular and thorough inspections of all Airbnb properties to identify potential issues such as wear and tear cleanliness or damage.

Spotting Issues

Detect and report even the smallest issues (e.g. broken fixtures cosmetic damage cleanliness issues) before they become larger problems ensuring properties meet high aesthetic and functional standards.

Reporting & Documentation

Effectively document and report all maintenance or aesthetic issues to the relevant teams ensuring clarity and prioritization.

Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate with maintenance teams handymen or cleaning teams to ensure timely repairs and fixes. Manage the scheduling of maintenance tasks to minimize disruption to bookings.

Quality Control

Ensure that all repairs upgrades or fixes are carried out to a high standard by conducting postrepair inspections. Verify that the work has been completed to the companys expectations.

Guest Experience Support

Ensure properties are always in a guestready condition following the highest cleanliness and maintenance standards contributing to positive guest reviews and satisfaction.

Communication

Liaise effectively with internal teams to ensure issues are resolved promptly and properties are always in peak condition.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management maintenance coordination or a similar role (preferably within the hospitality or shortlet sector).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small issues that could affect guest experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple properties and tasks at once.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively as well as collaborate with a wider team.
  • Understanding of basic property maintenance needs and processes.
  • Flexibility in working hours as some issues may arise outside of standard office hours.
  • Experience working with shortlet properties or hotels.
  • Knowledge of property management software or platforms.
  • A background in hospitality or hotel management is an advantage.
