Skilled in premium connections (e.g., VAM, TSH, JFE) to ensure precise compatibility and functionality.
Perform taper threading and operate four-jaw hollow spindle lathe chucks.
Set up and maintain CNC VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) and HCL (Horizontal CNC Lathe) machines with Fanuc control systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings, machine diagrams, and manuals to ensure accurate machine setups and high-quality production.
Operate various tools, such as lathes, radial drilling, milling, and surface grinding machines.
1. Machine Setup:
Set up and calibrate CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills) according to specifications and technical drawings.
Load raw materials and configure machine settings for optimal performance.
2. Programming:
Write and modify CNC programs using G-code or CAD/CAM software to produce parts accurately.
Understand and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
3. Operation:
Operate CNC machines to manufacture precision parts, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Monitor machine operations to identify and resolve any issues or deviations during production.
4. Quality Control:
Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet specifications.
Perform in-process inspections to maintain quality throughout the machining process.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry.
Proficient in CNC Programming using Fanuc control.
Strong understanding of API threading and taper threading techniques.
Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and machine manuals.
Diploma or Technical Certification in CNC Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting.
Report any mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance personnel for repairs.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any changes made to programs.
Document any quality issues and corrective actions taken.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Stay updated on new technologies and techniques in CNC machining.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, designers, and other machinists to discuss project requirements and solutions.
Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists as needed.
Problem Solving:
Troubleshoot issues related to machining processes, tools, and materials.
Implement solutions to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
