Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background including experience with fullstack development cloud platforms database management and monitoring tools. This role is crucial in driving operational efficiency ensuring system reliability and leading the overall management of applications and services within a largescale environment.
The candidate will be expected to take initiative and independently manage key operational aspects collaborate with crossfunctional teams and ensure seamless delivery of services. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work in fastpaced environments are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of missioncritical applications ensuring uptime performance and security.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Collaborate with development infrastructure and business teams to implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of applications using tools such as Data Dog Ops Genie and Monte Carlo.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and oversee DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure smooth integration and functionality of Java Full Stack applications RESTful APIs and database systems (e.g. Redshift SQL Oracle).
- Support reporting and analytics functions using Tableau and Power BI.
- Track issues and manage resolutions through tools like ServiceNow and JIRA.
- Lead root cause analysis of operational issues identify improvement areas and implement solutions to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Provide operational oversight for cloud architecture infrastructure management and application deployment.
- Mentor and guide the operations team to maintain highquality standards and process improvements.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong background in Java Full Stack Development and familiarity with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS and DevOps practices (automation CI/CD pipelines infrastructure as code).
- Handson experience with database systems such as Redshift SQL and Oracle.
- Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI for analytics and reporting.
- Expertise in monitoring tools like Data Dog Ops Genie and Monte Carlo.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and JIRA for IT service management and issue tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (Masters degree is a plus).
- 812 years of experience in IT operations or related roles.
- Proven experience managing enterprise applications and services in a highavailability environment.
- Strong leadership communication and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred:
- Certifications in AWS DevOps or relevant technologies.
- Experience in managing largescale cloud infrastructure
