We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead key initiatives supporting the Saudi Green Initiative and Vision 2030. This role will focus on fostering collaboration between government entities and external partners to achieve national environmental goals, including the ambitious target of planting 10 billion trees. The ideal candidate will possess extensive project management experience in environmental or governmental consultancy and will play a pivotal role in driving project success through effective leadership and strategic oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Lead and oversee all project activities across the Consulting, Executive, and Technical teams. Ensure that all initiatives align with the project charter and broader strategic objectives, fostering a collaborative environment.
Coordination Across Project Tracks
Manage efforts across three primary project tracks: Pilot Projects, Governance Structures, and PMO Support. Develop both high-level and detailed implementation plans that outline tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
Project Planning Documentation
Create comprehensive project planning documents, including project charters, work breakdown structures (WBS), and Gantt charts. These documents will guide project execution and ensure clarity and alignment among team members.
Project Control and Monitoring
Establish control mechanisms to monitor project progress, manage changes, and ensure adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to maintain project integrity.
Stakeholder Communication
Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders. Provide regular updates and reports to ensure transparency and alignment with project goals and benchmarks.
Quality Assurance
Implement quality assurance processes to uphold project standards across all tracks. Leverage established benchmarks for performance evaluation to ensure successful delivery.
Project Review and Evaluation
Conduct regular project reviews and evaluations to assess progress against defined KPIs. Make necessary adjustments to strategies to drive project success and foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Experience
Minimum of 15 years in project management, with a preference for experience in environmental or government consultancy projects.
Certifications
PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
Leadership and Management Skills
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects effectively.
Project Management Methodologies
Proficiency in PMP methodology, encompassing project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Technical Proficiency
Skilled in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Asana for scheduling, resource management, and task tracking.
Reporting and Data Analysis
Expertise in creating reports and dashboards to monitor project progress, track KPIs, and present data-driven insights.
