As an Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) youll play a critical role in managing and maintaining the databases that support Epic systems widely used in healthcare for electronic medical records (EMR) and other applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in Healthcare IT.
- 4 years as an Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) delivering projects or program enhancements within a healthcare organization consulting or managed services.
- Epic ODBA certification is mandatory.
- Experience with at least two or more Epic implementations or upgrades.
- Proficiency with Linux AIX or UNIX operating systems.
- Comfortable with remote work and/or travel to client sites.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and good judgment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in crossfunctional efforts to resolve technical issues chronic problems and technology integration challenges.
- Responsible for installation administration configuration maintenance and monitoring of Epic environments.
- Database management including design implementation maintenance and monitoring.
- Documentation and change management procedures including testing to ensure system integrity during enhancements/upgrades.
- Understanding and extracting data from Epic Clarity tables and utilizing Epic data dictionaries community specs and guidelines to define functional specifications.
- Contributing to team objectives and overall outcomes.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Life Sciences Computer Science Engineering or related fields
