Job Description
Position Overview:
As a Data and Systems Analyst you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful migration of our data systems from PostgreSQL to Oracle. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to analyze document and implement the necessary technical and functional requirements for this complex migration project. Your expertise in data migration particularly from PostgreSQL to Oracle will be essential in ensuring a seamless transition to our new cloudbased data platform.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Data Migration: Lead the analysis and design of the data migration process including data mapping transformation and validation.
- Database Conversion: Ensure the successful conversion of PostgreSQL databases and schemas to Oracle addressing compatibility issues and data integrity concerns.
- Cloud Migration: Work closely with cloud architects to plan and execute the migration of data systems to the cloud environment optimizing performance and scalability.
- Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation including data migration plans architecture diagrams and system requirements.
- Business Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the migrated data and systems.
- Agile Development: Participate in Agile project teams contributing to user story development testing and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in data migration projects with a proven track record of successfully migrating from PostgreSQL to Oracle.
- Indepth knowledge of database design data modeling and SQL.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS Azure or GCP.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud technologies or data migration.
- AWS Cloud practitioner certification is a plus
- Insurance and claims experience is a plus.
