Job Description
Job Title: Immediate Opportunities for RN Critical Care (Nursing)
Location: Utica NY 13502
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Pay Rate: $62/hr
- FLOAT POOL Critical Care
- 75 mile radius rule
- Can be floated to any unit within the hospital except for Psych and ED (unless it is to manage holds)
- Will have to float to MS and take an assignment that could include 67 patients
- 36 hours
- OT after 48
- 2 years experience ICU
- BLS ACLS NIH required
- NY LICENSE IN HAND REQUIRED
- EMR: Epic
- THIS IS A FLOAT POSITION
- Patient population: diverse
- Net Learning modules for those nursing departments which require completion of preemployment net learning modules the hours may be billed as noted below:
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients vital signs and medical conditions using advanced equipment.
- Emergency Response: Quickly respond to changes in patients conditions perform lifesaving procedures and provide emergency care.
- Medical Procedures: Administer medications blood products and treatments as prescribed by physicians and perform complex procedures such as intubations and central line insertions.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). A BSN is often preferred.
- Licensure: Must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEXRN) and obtain state licensure.
- Experience: Prior experience in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care training program is highly preferred.
- Certification: Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is often required or encouraged.
- Skills: Advanced clinical skills critical thinking ability to work under pressure excellent communication and strong attention to detail.
