The Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician will be responsiblefor operating and maintaining the mechanical electrical instrument and process assets associatedwith the effluent treatment plant on a client site. The Technician will take on an active role in utilisinga Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for onsite Maintenance. The ETP O&MTechnician will also support the operations and maintenance of other local sites on occasions.
The ETP O&M Technician will be expected to monitor the plant and implement any operationalchanges that are required. The Technician will also prepare plant for Planned & CorrectiveMaintenance tasks as required. The ETP O&M Technician will also be expected to carry out therequired analytical testing & input this data onto a computerbased system to monitor and recordplant performance.
In addition the ETP O&M Technician will carry out more complex maintenance of equipment suchas cleaning / calibration of process instruments servicing pumps replacing valves as necessary andgenerally ensuring the process assets are maintained in as good condition as possible.
The role also requires that the assets are operated at optimum performance at all times and theTechnician will form part of a team framework to assist in this task.
The role requirements are the safe & seamless operation of the ETP in accordance with the regulatoryconsent and without interruption to the customers production activities.
The job will involve working on a standby rota for responding to plant alarms and process monitoringout of normal working hours and weekends.
Full process training will be provided to the Technician but it is expected that the candidate willalready have demonstrable experience in operating and maintaining industrial equipment.

Qualifications:
Required Skills/Qualifications (Essential):
NVQ Level 2 (Process Operations) or equivalent. Optionally the candidate can demonstrate
at least 3 years experience in operating and maintaining process equipment in an industrial
environnement.
Computer Literacy
Ability and knowledge to complete basic repairs and maintenance
A working knowledge of running electromechanical plant
Required Skills/Qualifications (Desirable):
Experience of working directly with subcontractors
Demonstrate through experience an ability to interpret technical information & make
changes on industrial plant
Operational knowledge of wastewater treatment plant
Demonstrate the ability to work within a quality system
Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment plants
Training in Environmental Health and Safety
