Scope Of Work:
Applies fundamental concepts processes practices and procedures on GIS technical assignments. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. Work is performed under supervision. Write programs and develop user interfaces menus and macrolevel commands to meet user needs in addition to performing simple spatial analyses and producing reports according to customer specifications. Assist in the development of geographic information systems applications
The candidate will provide technical support for the enterprise GIS environment Creates scripts and applications to address application needs based on requirements. Coordinates with GIS team and other professionals on GIS related tasks.
Duties / Responsibilities
1. Support implementation and maintenance of the ESRI GIS environment.
2. Must be able to work with some direct supervision.
3. Must have experience in some of the following: SQL python JavaScript arcade.
4. Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and processes.
5. Design software solutions that adhere to programming best practices.
6. Perform unit testing to validate solutions; assist with user acceptance testing.
7. Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to Production.
8. Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues.
9. Follow service level agreement (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues.
10. Collaborate with IT team to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget.
11. Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendor.
12. Work with COTS vendor to support maintain and upgrade applications.
13. Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM.
Preferred Experience/Qualification/Knowledge Skills
a. Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in the specific discipline required by the Commission.
b. General Experience: Bachelors Degree in Geography GIS Information Systems or Computer Science or related technical field and one (1) year minimum of relevant experience in GIS.
c. Specialized Experience Some knowledge of ESRI GIS technology suite.
d. Skillset ESRI suite of tools and services Javascript SQL Oracle or SQL databases SharePoint ServiceNow MS Office products (Word Excel)
