Job Description

Control Engineer Industrial Automation

A growing industrial solutions provider in Noblesville Indiana is seeking a Control Engineer to join the engineering team. This role focuses on designing developing and programming control systems to optimize fluid recovery and industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and program PLCs HMIs and control systems using AllenBradley hardware (MicroLogix CompactLogix ControlLogix) and software (RSLogix 500/5000 FactoryTalk).
  • Read and create logic diagrams wiring diagrams P&IDs and control narratives.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including PLC modules and HMIs.
  • Support system startup troubleshoot field issues and assist operators with technical guidance.
  • Manage control panel design equipment inspections and AutoCAD drawing updates.
  • Collaborate with project managers technicians and external vendors to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Maintain programming standards remote access systems and documentation for future use.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree from an ABETaccredited university preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with AllenBradley PLCs and HMI programming (CompactLogix MicroLogix PanelView).
  • Experience in control panel design and FactoryTalk programming.
  • Strong skills in ladder logic structured text and VB scripting.
  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams P&IDs and control narratives.
  • Familiarity with mechanical plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.

Additional Skills

  • Experience with mathematical modeling and DCS system integration.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
