Assist in developing piping design drawings including plans sections isometric views and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoCAD SmartPlant or other design software.
Work under the supervision of senior piping designers and engineers to interpret P&IDs equipment layouts and piping specifications.
Create and modify piping models in 3D software (e.g. PDMS E3D or Plant 3D) as per project requirements.
Draft and update Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) based on engineering data and project standards.
Generate piping isometrics bills of materials (BOM) and other necessary documentation for procurement and construction.
Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to project and industry standards (ASME ANSI etc.).
Coordinate with other disciplines such as civil mechanical electrical and process engineering to ensure design compatibility.
Participate in design reviews ensuring alignment with client specifications and project deliverables.
Support the preparation of construction and fabrication drawings maintaining highquality standards.
Ensure compliance with project schedules deadlines and client requirements.
SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Proficiency in piping design software such as AutoCAD SmartPlant 3D Plant 3D or equivalent.
Experience in drafting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Basic understanding of P&IDs equipment layouts piping specifications and industry standards (e.g. ASME ANSI).
Ability to read and interpret engineering documents such as P&IDs and piping specs.
Strong attention to detail with excellent drafting and drawing skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new design technologies and practices.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Good communication skills to interact with internal teams and senior engineers.
Requirements
Diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Civil or relevant engineering disciplines.
