Job Description

Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist
Department: Payroll Department
Reports to: Head of Payroll Outsourcing and PEO Services


The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing monthly payroll for largescale corporate clients with high complexity including multipleshift schedules and multicountry payrolls. This role also involves maintaining clients databases using SQL ensuring compliance with local regulations and accuracy in payroll processing.

  1. Payroll Processing:

    • Process payroll for corporate clients with complex requirements ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed schedules.
    • Handle multicountry payrolls and ensure compliance with local legislations and regulations.
  2. Country Profiles Maintenance:

    • Update and maintain profiles for clients outside the region to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate countryspecific payroll processing.
  3. Issue Resolution:

    • Address and resolve payroll and technical issues promptly to maintain compliance and client satisfaction.
    • Provide timely responses to client inquiries and ensure a smooth payroll process.
  4. Database Management:

    • Regularly update and maintain the client database using SQL to ensure accuracy.
    • Ensure database updates are done in a timely and compliant manner.
  5. Income Statements & Reporting:

    • Prepare and distribute income statements in line with client expectations.
    • Regularly prepare payroll reports for upper management and clients ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  6. Client Training & Support:

    • Conduct training sessions for clients on the use of Mena HRMS and Mena Pay systems.
    • Equip clients with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively utilize payroll systems.
  7. Compliance & Continuous Improvement:

    • Ensure compliance with internal policies procedures and operational guidelines.
    • Contribute to identifying new ideas or best practices to improve efficiency in payroll processing.
  8. Calculations & Accuracy:

    • Accurately calculate overtime deductions bonuses and other payroll elements.
    • Provide precise and timely calculations for payroll reports and client requests.

  • Accuracy & Compliance: Ensuring accuracy in payroll processing database updates and regulatory compliance.
  • Client Satisfaction: Timely resolution of payroll issues and highquality service delivery.
  • Timely Execution: Ensuring all payroll tasks reports and client communications are completed within set timelines.
  • Innovation: Continuous improvement in payroll processes through the generation and implementation of new ideas.


  • Requirements

    Education:

    • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field.

    Knowledge:

    • Proficient in Mena HRMS and Mena Pay systems.
    • Strong understanding of HR processes and countryspecific payroll regulations.
    • Fluent in English.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 6 years of experience in payroll processing for large organizations.
    • Extensive experience with SQL Excel and payroll systems.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in SQL Excel PowerPoint and Word.
    • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

    Core Competencies:

    • Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under stress multitask and deliver within tight deadlines.
    • Strong teamwork and a positive attitude toward both clients and colleagues.
