Given the extensive range of suggested content and activities, the expert’s primary responsibility will be to review these submissions and provide guidance on their appropriateness and alignment with the daily themes of the event.
This role requires a deep understanding of the topics relevant to desertification, land degradation, and sustainable land management. The expert will assess the credibility of proposed content, ensuring it is scientifically sound, culturally sensitive, and relevant to the local and global contexts of land management. By leveraging their breadth of experience in this sector, the expert will help to curate a program that not only informs but also inspires action among diverse audiences, including policymakers, researchers, community members, and students.
Each day in the Green Zone will focus on specific themes, reflecting the broader agenda of COP16. The expert will work closely with the operational delivery team to match content submissions with appropriate forums and sessions, ensuring a coherent and impactful narrative throughout the event.
