Responsibilities
- Plan deliver and assess engaging ICT lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs
- Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore and engage with technology
- Develop individualized learning plans (ILPs) and adapt the curriculum to ensure all students can effectively access ICT content
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes collaboration creativity and critical thinking among students
- Monitor and evaluate student progress providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience
- Collaborate with the SEN team classroom teachers and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for students
- Participate in school initiatives to promote digital literacy and integrate technology into various subject areas
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching ICT preferably in a special educational needs context
- Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies for students with learning difficulties
- Proficient in a range of software applications and educational technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to building positive relationships with students and staff
- A clear DBS check
- Legal right to work in the UK
