SEN Maths Teacher Greenwich
A rewarding opportunity has become available for an SEN Maths Teacher at a secondary school in Greenwich. In this role you will be responsible for teaching small classes of students with learning difficulties adapting the curriculum to ensure that each student can access and engage with mathematical concepts. Responsibilities
- Plan deliver and assess engaging Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs
- Modify and adapt the curriculum to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all learners
- Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement in mathematical activities
- Collaborate with the SEN team to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Monitor and assess student progress providing feedback and support to help them achieve their goals
- Participate in schoolwide initiatives to promote inclusivity and celebrate student achievements
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths preferably to students with special educational needs
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping students succeed
- A clear DBS check
- Legal right to work in the UK
