The project and the team
We are a team of Network and Software Engineers working on automated firewall configuration migration workflow and client side implementations. Our Engineers support projects with their knowledge of networks and handson experience to deliver a working service from start to finish.
Other things to know:
- Every team member gets onboarded via an online training course which includes a case study live training sessions lab and individual assignments
- We are working in a multivendor environment
- We collaborate closely with Professional Services engineers on the customer side
- The client is based in the US
We work on multiple interesting projects at a time so we may invite you to an interview for another project if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.
Your role
As a part of the project team you will be responsible for:
- Conversion and migration of firewall configuration into the Customers security platform
- Analysis of the Customers network environment and creating migration workflow per each use case
- Working with the Customer to deliver a working solution and ensuring a successful deployment to their production environment
- Collaborating with the Development team to improve the existing automation framework
Do we have a match
As a Senior Firewall Engineer you should ideally meet the following criteria:
- Excellent expertise in networks network security and network platforms
- Handson experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Check Point firewalls
- Proven track record in customerfacing roles
- Handson scripting in Python
- Experience with production grade deployments
- Knowledge of Linux
- 7 years of experience in Networks related roles
- Fluency in English (B2 level minimum)
- Willingness to learn you will face challenges that require creativity individual solutions and teamwork
- Readiness to work flexible hours (regular meetings with US based customers)
Beyond the criteria above we would appreciate:
- Handson experience with other vendors: Cisco (ASA and Firepower) Palo Alto Fortinet
- Detailed multivendor firewall knowledge and configuration migration experience
- Firewall vendor certification
- Experience in deployment and/or maintenance of SASE/SSE solutions (e.g. Palo Alto ZScaler)
- Understanding of DevOps tools and practices
- Handson experience with Ansible Docker VMWare
- Handson experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of best practices in enterprise network security
