Job Description:
As a Service Technician youll install maintain and repair highspeed printing equipment at customer sites. Utilizing diagnostic tools and product schematics youll troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures manage parts inventory and oversee machine modifications. Youll also establish and maintain customer relations understand their print management applications and ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair company products and systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system failures using diagnostic tools service aids and product schematics
- Manage parts inventory and territory to comply with established operating standards
- Perform and oversee machine factory modifications and software/operating systems upgrades
- Establish and maintain facetoface customer relations
- Understand the customers entire workflow and associated print management applications
- Maintain required interface with pre/post equipment and vendors
- Schedule work activity to accommodate customers working environment and end users SLAs
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive equipment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years related field experience for Service Tech I or II
- PC literacy and understanding of basic network concepts
- Technical/Trade/Business Certificate preferred
- Excellent customer service communication and organizational skills
- Proven electromechanical skills
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
- Extensive knowledge of complete product systems software servers and channel configuration
- Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment
Work Schedule & Travel Requirements:
- Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
- Participation in a weekly standby rotation for afterhours and weekend service calls (8 out of 10 sites have 24/7 coverage)
- Overtime opportunities may be available when necessary
