As the LBS1 Education Specialist you will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address each students unique needs. Youll manage a structured and supportive classroom fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Regular assessments will help you monitor students progress and determine their specific educational needs. Collaboration is key as youll work closely with general education teachers specialists and families to ensure students receive the best support possible. Youll also adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate a range of learning abilities. Maintaining detailed records of students progress and IEP goals is essential as is providing emotional and social support to promote a positive learning experience. Lastly you will engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on the latest best practices in special education.

Requirements
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
- A bachelors Degree from an accredited university is required. Masters degree is a plus
- Have or be eligible to apply for an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement
