Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In this role your main responsibilities will include
- Planning curriculum lessons and special education programs using effective teaching methods.
- Maintaining regular contact with parents and involving them in their childs educational progress.
- Ensuring the classroom environment is wellorganized and conducive to learning.
- Instructing individuals and groups in various special education skill areas.
- Modifying curriculum according to individualized education plans (IEPs) and conducting testing evaluations.
- Can transit between the two buildings.
Requirements
- Certificates and/or Licenses: Active Intervention Specialist License in OH
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree is required with preferred classroom experience & 1 year of experience working as a Intervention Specialist.

They will also foster professional friendships with faculty and staff, seek collaborative relationships with parents, and mentor students in the pursuit of their own flourishing. Conduct occupational therapy assessments and interpret results to support student learning. Participate in IEP meetings, MTSS meetings, and other staff or department meetings. Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services to students in individual or group settings, per IEP requirements. Create goals and objectives for students to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to design and implement appropriate interventions and accommodations for students. Maintain student records and submit information/records, including student progress, as needed to support students and adhere to IEP regulations.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher Current Intervention Specialist Certification 1 or more years experience or equivalent, including familiarity with relevant laws and regulations Eligibility to work in the United States
