Job Description

Our client a wellestablished and awardwinning retail business is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team at their flagship store in Carlow. This is a hands on stand alone role where you will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions from recruitment and compliance to talent development and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities:

As the HR Officer you will take full ownership of various key HR functions including:

  • EndtoEnd Recruitment: Lead and manage the recruitment process ensuring a seamless experience from candidate sourcing through to onboarding. Youll work closely with hiring managers to meet recruitment needs and uphold the company s employer brand.
  • Onboarding & Induction: Collaborate with department heads to ensure an efficient and engaging onboarding process setting new employees up for success from day one.
  • Compliance & Policy Management: Develop implement and maintain HR policies that are both compliant with current employment laws and reflective of the companys values. Your role will be essential in safeguarding the businesss legal standing while fostering a positive work culture.
  • HR Systems & Data Integrity: Oversee HR systems and ensure all employee data is maintained in compliance with GDPR regulations. Youll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recordkeeping.
  • HR Consultancy & Managerial Support: Act as a trusted advisor to line managers providing expert guidance on HR policies employee relations and performance management.
  • Talent Development & Performance Management: Spearhead initiatives related to employee growth including training programs and performance management strategies that align with business goals.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Actively promote and nurture the organizations culture ensuring the company s core values are integrated into all HR processes and decisions.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years experience in a similar HR role is required with comprehensive experience across multiple HR functions.
  • HR Qualification: While a formal HR qualification is desirable strong experience and a proven track record are paramount.
  • Employment Legislation Expertise: Indepth understanding of Irish employment laws and regulatory compliance is essential.
  • Multitasking & Organizational Skills: You should be adept at managing multiple priorities in a highenergy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Collaborative & Proactive Approach: The role demands someone who is a selfstarter but also thrives within a teamdriven environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
